Comment
Winemaker's note: Wine vinified by François Gaunoux. Weather conditions: 1976 was one of the hottest years of the century. The summer was extremely dry. On August 8th, the commune of Rully in Saône-et-Loire experienced nearly 100% hail damage to its harvest. The decision was made to harvest late, while most domains had harvested by the end of August. The grapes harvested were very ripe, resulting in a Rugiens of very fine quality even today, likely due to the late harvest around September 18th.
(*)As the wines are lying in France, French VAT at a rate of 20% will be added to the hammer price and the buyer’s commission.
