Winemaker's note: Wine vinified by François Gaunoux. Weather conditions: A damp and relatively cool year. This resulted in a small harvest, producing Rugiens that somewhat resemble 1964, but with less structure. 1970, 1971, 1976, 1978, and 1979 are also considered the top vintages of the decade. Harvest around October 10th.
