Winemaker's note: Wine vinified by François Gaunoux. Weather conditions: 1976 was one of the hottest years of the century. The summer was extremely dry. On August 8th, the commune of Rully in Saône-et-Loire experienced nearly 100% hail damage to its harvest. The decision was made to harvest late, while most estates harvested at the end of August. Very ripe grapes resulted in a highly concentrated Genevrières with a very complex aromatic profile today, due to the harvest around September 18th.
